Thursday 03/06:
The barbecueon thursday was really awesome, Gustavo and Julian came by and cooked all this amazing meat and had special marinades and everything for it and it was all very meaty and argentinian! Gustavo seems to enjoy speaking really quickly to see if i can understand and then finds it funny when i dont and Julian went all primal on us and cooked with his top off because of the rain. Gustavo and belen and belens "touch and go" left around one and i toddled off to bed with my ice cream and susie and julian stayed up til about four having political discussions lol.
Friday 04/06:
I didnt go to El Puma because of the rain and really hoped that someone would give the animals lots of food and water so that they had enough for over the weekend. i went to the refuge instead and took my nail polishes and had a nail painting sesh with all the kids and even most of the boys had theirs done! one of the boys even requested blue nails with pink hearts on top but i told him that was a bit too complicated for my nail painting skills. Gabi was very excited to see me of course and as i carried him to and from the Poli he decided to point out all the things he thinks he knows the word for so our conversation was a bit like this ..
Gabi: Tiaaaa
Me: Siii
Gabi : *points to car* Artooowwwww
Me: Si, Gabi.
Gabi: Tiaaa
Me: Siii
Gabi: *points to tree* arrooolllb
Me: Si Gabi muy bien.
Gabi: TIAAAAAAA

Gabi: babahahahahahaahaha :D

Got home in the afternoon and had to say goodbye to dear Susie Q :( sad times!! Classic Susie Quote: *While being desperate to pee she screams from the toilet* "THERES A LITTLE LIZARD A LITTLE LIZARD A LITTLE LIZARD" mahahhaa
The plan was to go see a stripper at mentegato on friday but turns out he was on saturday so we went to pool and power for chris´s last night (oh how i will miss your classic quotes) and it was a bit muy bien, i was amazing at pool, and power as the usual power and they played shania twain again and it was COOL MAN. rolled home about four after an hamberguesa (chris had one in the queue on the way in.. and then two on the way home)
Saturday 05/06:
I lay in til nine and then a new girl arrived to start El Puma with me on Monday, her name is Iffyyenia (no idea if thats spelt right!!) and shes a greek girl of 28 living in london and on a round the world volunteering trip! There are two other new ladies Lucy and Nancy also doing El Puma im just hoping they can find enough work for us to do or i might have to do the refuge for my last few days.
Me and Kailtin went to Itakwa on the costanero for lunch and the new girls met us after their orientation and the manager came out and was like why arent you drinking wineee you always drink white wine with your salad!! are you crazy!! hahahaha. bless him we are totally best friends now. After lunch we walked home and siestad and then Veronica and Marcelo cooked a birthday barbecue for me which was really nice! and belen made me tell marcelo and veronica why i think marcelo is a spy which was SO EMBARASING because it was just a little joke but know they know and probably think im a crazy person. my reasons are these :
He has a big old knife in his car claiming its part of his barbecue set.
He works from like five in the morning til eleven at his mystery job to do with the state
he knows EVERYONE
We went and played pool with me Vero Marcelo Belen Iffyyenia and Kaitlin and i was amazing again but marcelo beat my team :( and then i slept at Veros house because her family were having a barbecue the next day and she wanted me to come.
Sunday 06/06:
Rolled out of bed around eleven and drank Mate ( :O ) and hung out with ehr family and it was really cute. it was a really lovely day until somebody mentioned the falklands and i thought i might die but it was ok. they just asked if they teach us in school that they are our islands and i was like well i didnt do history but yeah they do and they said they teach them that theyre theirs and it all got very awkward but then it was fine by pudding. lol. i camr home around three and had a really weird siesta and then Kailtin and Iffy got home from San Ignacio and i slept really badly :(
Monday 07/06:
Todayyy i met the girls at El Puma after they were shown around and it was World Day there and they had an event on where the army band came (?) and a load of school kids came and there were speeches and we served army hot chocolate (!) and i showed the ladies the animals that i feed and then we saw a monkey that had a strap stuck round it middle get sedated so they could cut it off it was so sad :( the lady was telling me that it had been stuck for a while and it had stoped the monkey growing to full size!
One of the ladies gave us all a lift back to the centre of posadas and the others went to the supermarket and i walked home and ate lunch and siestad weirdly again and so now im feeling sorry for myself and the fact that i probably wont be able to sleep again tonight!! :(
