Placeta, New People, Power, San Ignacio, Hopscotch.

Thursday 06/05:
On thursday me and elen took Monica and two other girls from the refuge whose names i cant remember to the placeta because we couldnt take them on monday. we knew this time it would be better as weve spoken to these girls lots before and theyre really lovely and funny. :]
we all had a lovely time and they each had fifty pesos as before and it was just like a normal shopping trip and i think the girls really needed it and when i saw them on friday they were really happy !

Friday 07/05:
On friday two new people came to stay with me and elen in the apartment. there´s suzie who i think is 21 and a graduate from nottingham uni and is touring south america for about four months, shes really lovely, her project is teaching english in Posadas. and Chris who i think is also 21 whos a graduate from Bristol and is doing the football coaching project that Ali and Hyunjin did.
later on vero and belen came round and pre drank and played card games and had lots of blue shots. we then pretty tipsily went to play pool which i was AMAZING at. turns out im just better at games when drunk. im better at bowling too. tamara met us there and marcelo came with too and then we all went to power. it ws relly really busy coz it was the DJs birthday and they played more english songs than usual so we were all dancing and i did weird argentinian dancing with everyone including this old guy who clerly thought he had it going on and i was only dancing with him as a joke and then this girl Luz came over and was like HES SO UGLYYYYYYYYY and i was like yeahhhhh i know :P and we all had a jolly good drunken time until me and vero and belen and tamara went to sit outside because we got too hot and by the time we came back elen and suzie and chris had gone [chris was WASTED] and we danced for while then went and got an hamberguesa and it was the best hamberguesa i think ive ever had. including the egg. yep they put egg in hamberguesa .. and ham. and at first i was a bit skeptical but now im totally into it. Marcelo drove us all home around five in the morning and i stumbled in to be told a hilarious story by elen about how chris was so drunk that he took all the sheets off his bed and then wandered around the apartment and then complained because something was wrong with his bed so elen had to tuck him in haha.
On saturday 08/05 we had a lie in and i went to an internet cafe and uploaded all my photos from iguazu and and got realy cross when it kept failing but got them up after six pesos worth of internet.
Sunday 09/05:
on sunday me elen suzie and chris went up to the san ignacio ruins and got lunch [Parrilla - mixed grill and they actually bring you a little grill, its awesome] and then went to the actual ruins bit and had to pay thirty pesos [five pounds] to get in and we walked around this little museum and then went out to see the ruins and they were pretty cool. Veronica had told us that there was a sound and light show after dark so we needed to wait for that so we went to buy some stuff from the little kiosky things and got ice cream and when it got too cold to sit outside [i didnt bring a jacket reasoning that as i was gonna be in the jungle it couldnt possibly be cold... i was wrong] we went and sat inside the museum and we played gin rummy until they told us to get out so we waited outside where we were told we needed to buy new tickets - another thirty pesos - for the sound and light show. at first i was welll annoyed but it was actually SO WORTH IT it was AMAZING

they like projected stuff onto water vapour showing the story of the people who lived in the ruins and there was like this red indian looking man who told the whole story in spanish but we got the gist of it. then we went and had dinner [mozzerella pizza] in a restaraunt in the town while waiting for the bus and we drank beer and played cards and went to get the bus.
we went to where it had dropped us off that afternoon [by now it was nearly ten pm and FREEZING] and a bus pulled up and i asked ¨a posadas¨ and then man said no what you need to do is go down there to the right and your bus will pick you up there. great. so we start walking and see another bus coming that says posadas and we try to flag it down and it drives right by us so we run and run after it and almost miss it but the driver sees us, laughs and lets us on. there werent any seats left so i sat on the floor and listened to music and we everntaully made it back and i went straight to bed.

Monday 10/05:
Today at the refuge was really good we only took around twelve kids with us and they all behaved relatively well. there is still a massive fasciation with mangos and one kid ate so many that he was sick haha. gabi was extra cute today and we all did hopscotch which gabi cant do he just gallops over it and its hilarious.

Gabi with mango :]

can someone please tell my crazy-arse parents not to worry when i dont write on here for a couple of days its only because im too busy having fun and or being drunk and eating hamberguesas. i got an email yesterday asking if i was alive haha.

Love,
Bethnal x
