Amazingly Ungrateful.

So we took five older kids to the placeta yesterday. i think theyre about fifteen. i have never met such rude people in my life! we took Belen and Vero with us to translate and we went and got them from the refuge and got on the bus to town and then walked to the placeta. on the way there the kids were making fun of us and saying that we had no idea where we were going [we had to ask the friendly neighbourhood police officers a couple of times] and just being generally nasty. and i was just thinking, youd think theyd be excited? or happy? its not like people take them out to buy them presents everyday. they just aced like it happened all the time and that they didnt care. when we got there Vero explained that they had fifty pesos each to spend and when they wanted something to tell us and we would pay for it and they were just like oh. can we not go off on our own with the money. AS IF they would probably run away to iguazu or something. so we all went round together and one of the boys picked out a tshirt for thirty pesos. i paid for it and gave it to him and he snatched it off me and walked off. i shouted GRACIAS sarcastically and Vero told him to say thnakyou to me and he looked round, and grumpily said si. gracias. made a face and then walked off. i was like oh great this is gonna be a fun day. because it was taking so long elen and belen went with the girls and me and vero stayed with the two boys. Jona was buying really small things like socks for ten pesos then CDs for five pesos and it was taking FOREVER so we told him to hurry up and eventually he only had ten pesos left and he decided he wanted food with it so i took him to a corner shop and and he wanted some crisps for eight pesos, and that he gets tokeep the spare two pesos. erm. NO. then he said ok. give me the change in sweets and looked at me to say HA. ive won. grrrrr. so we did that and went back to meet the others and vero told Jona off because he bought breakable stuff an eatable stuff and not stuff that he needs i.e a coat. aparently the girls didnt say thankyou either but were less rude than the boys. and i just said to elen: deffo not taking them out for lunch or to the cinema EVER. [they ask us to do that a lot] because they just dont appreciate anything you try to do for them.

today the refuge was pretty normal. kids misbehaving. us getting annoyed. lots of crying but only minor incidents. Gabis getting cuter by the day. running more and he officially speaks :] he says Tia [thats me or elen] Oopa [pick me up] and mumbles lots of other stuff that im sure if i was fluent in spanish i would understand.

most of the time we have the same bus driver, hes got ridiculously lush hair and long eyelashes and if we are daydreaming he waves at us to remind us to get off. and he always plays really good music like Queen and today he threw a bit of pink floyd in there which im suremy parents will appreciate. so today we stood at the front and sang along just to add a little sunshine to his day :]

id also like to say hello to my friend JAMES KINDRED otherwise known as JIMMY BOB KINDER EGG because hes complaining that he never gets mentioned. LOVE YOU JAMES :]

happy nowww??

sorry for the largely boring posts of late. i only really get into silly situations on my own :S

Love,
Bethnal x
