So before I came to Australia and after I got my work visa through (and boy, was that dramatic) I made half-plans of how much money I wanted/needed to earn etc. to be able to get by, and maybe buy some chocolate on occasion. I was doing it very much based on worst case scenario - if I only work for a couple of weeks and barely get paid- type budgeting... But it's kind of all gone extremely well so now I'm worried - WHAT IF IT ALL GOES HORRIBLY WRONG??
I've been working at a digital agency near where I live for 7 weeks now, they pay me well and it doesn't seem like they are trying to get rid of me or anything which is awesome :) AND because its relevant to my degree if something happens and one of my limbs falls off, or one of the fish dies (only pets you can have at uni - sigh) and I have to go home then I can still go into third year having completed a placement. All things well though I still have mega exciting placement times to come in Melbourne and Sydney doing all things intern whilst dressed like a "Top Marketing Exec" as my mother put it (shout out). I bought some top intern clothes the other day and I would hire me so let's hope someone else does after my degree so I can put all this experience to good use.
